A Mysterious Happy New Years from FundingTimes
A Happy New Years to Everyone — Rod and I wish you the best in health, happiness and prosperity in the year ahead! May your shoes be ever free of sand!
The roll over to the FundingTimes web site starts February 13th. It will be a Work in Progress & Process as we roll out many of the iGrOOps platform features piece by piece. Crowdfunding remains our primary focus supported by matters pertinent to social networking, crowdsourcing, fundraising, membership sites, small business development, investing, relevant new technologies, etc.
My past two months have focused on establishing a lead development role in iGrOOps and supporting two other projects alongside the FundingTimes transition. That comes at the short-term expense of two months of writing, but it is an investment in time that will pay off exponentially for numerous projects.
Numerous developments and enhancements, particularly in the way of support, are also being fleshed out for iGrOOps, too. The more I work with the iGrOOps platform, the more impressed I am. It has an HTML-based newsletter system, an excellent autoresponder, point-award systems for membership participation and functionality comparable to most content management systems, to boot – in addition to membership/subscription management and e-commerce modules. iGrOOps has always been marketed as a social web site platform… but it is, for all intents and purposes, a crowdfunding platform (and much more than that), too.
Anyways, it may appear that FundingTimes effort has fallen off the map. Temporarily, yes and perhaps for 3 or 4 more weeks.
Until then, just consider FundingTimes.com as the Area 51 of Crowdfunding. Whether it is a secret development project or mysterious alien containment facility – there will be total disclosure come February 13, 2013.
